The transition into parenthood can bring profound changes in identity, relationships, and emotional life. For some women, it also brings anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, or a sense of overwhelm that can be difficult to understand or talk about. As a therapist specializing in perinatal mental health, I work with women during pregnancy and the postpartum period, with particular experience supporting postpartum anxiety. Our work is relational and integrative, drawing on psychodynamic therapy, ACT, parts work, mindfulness, and self-compassion to help you understand what you’re experiencing and develop a more compassionate and flexible relationship with yourself.
The transition into adulthood brings new relationships, responsibilities, identities, and expectations. For many young women, this period can surface anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, or uncertainty about who they are and what they actually want. Therapy with me provides a space to slow down and better understand yourself - not just the symptoms or problems bringing you in. Through a relational and integrative approach, we’ll explore the patterns that shape how you see yourself and relate to others while building greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and flexibility. Whether you’re navigating college, early career, relationships, or the space in between, this is a place to figure out what you actually need.
Stress and anxiety can make it difficult to trust yourself, stay present, or step out of patterns that leave you feeling stuck. Therapy with me offers a space to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and develop a different relationship with your thoughts and emotions. Together, we’ll explore both the roots of these patterns and how they show up in your life and relationships, drawing on psychodynamic therapy, ACT, parts work, mindfulness, and self-compassion. The goal is greater understanding, flexibility, and freedom in how you respond to yourself and your life.
Relationships are shaped by the histories, patterns, and needs each person brings to them. Couples therapy offers a space to slow down, understand the dynamics that have become stuck, and create more meaningful communication and connection. I am Gottman Level 1 trained and draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy and other evidence-based approaches to help couples understand the patterns beneath conflict and disconnection. The work is relational and collaborative, with attention to both the individuals and the relationship they are creating together.
